Experienced tour guide Peter Ikin leads a group of adventurous holidaymakers from Port Douglas. Follow them to enjoy the fishing, challenge and scenic beauty of tropical rainforest and beautiful beaches.
This video follows the group through their Cape York adventures. First the trip takes you to Coen, the famous Archer River Roadhouse and the mining township of Weipa.
The adventure continues after Bramwell Station where the real fun of the Old Telegraph Track begins. From the first creek, Palm Creek, there is challenge after challenge. From the breath-taking Gunshot Creek, to rocky Berties Creek, picturesque Cannibal Creek, log bridge of Cyprus Creek and treacherous Nolans Brook there is plenty of action. Under the guidance of Peter Ikin, each member safely reached the mighty Jardine River and took the ferry to the other side.
From Loyalty Beach the group headed for the iconic Tip of Cape York Peninsula, and visited Thursday and Horn Islands. Then it was time to head back, with a side trip to enjoy Vrilya Point and some more fishing. The group also enjoyed both of the pretty Fruit Bat and Twin Falls.
The trip finished at Cooktown, where history, river and seaside scenery provide a fitting end to the Cape York adventure.
